What we do
ADA Law is a Community Legal Centre Queensland member and specialises in legal help for tribunal matters and decision making issues (for example Enduring Power of Attorney and Advanced Health Directives).

Human Rights Legal Help and Advocacy | Our Human Rights Legal Help and Advocacy Service provides legal advice, representation, and non-legal advocacy and information, to adults whose decision-making capacity is impaired or in question. Our service supports the adult to express their views, wishes and preferences at the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) in relation to Guardianship, Administration and Enduring Power of Attorney matters. Our service also provides assistance to people (principals) with their Enduring Powers of Attorney and Advance Health Directives. | South East Queensland in the areas from Bundaberg to Toowoomba, and down to the Gold Coast. We may also be able to offer support in other areas of Queensland on a limited case by case basis. | Adults who have a current QCAT hearing scheduled, or about to be scheduled. Mental Health Review Tribunal (MHRT) Advocacy | We can represent people who have a hearing about: Electro Convulsive Therapy (ECT)*; Forensic Orders; or people under 18 years on a Treatment Authority, as referred to us by Legal Aid Queensland. *Referrals by Legal Aid Only | Brisbane, Caboolture, Ipswich & Sunshine Coast. | People who have a current MHRT hearing scheduled and who have been referred by Legal Aid Queensland. | MHRT Advocacy |
